One of the Bible’s many contradictions. God is always made out to be so high and mighty. And yet on the 7th day of creating the universe he takes a nap. Bearing in mind that God is omnipotent, I doubt he would really need a rest.

Don’t get me wrong, the little creationism story up til now is perfectly fine; deluded, but fine. It starts going wrong when God demands us to not work on the seventh day of the week. Not just one sunday but every single sunday of our lives. Break God’s law and you are under penalty of death (Exodus 31:12). How very charming...
