17 And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness, it is a wicked thing, and they shall be cut off from the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

It is known that Eve was created from Adam's rib. This surely indicates that Adam and Eve share genetic code in which case they are related; ergo they committed incest. And it is known that incest is a sin (Leviticus 20:17). So they were doomed to go to hell from the start with or without the tree of knowledge.
To spare us this conundrum, God would have created Eve from dust - just like Adam. Or does this part of the Bible serve some other purpose? Like the repression of women in society (see last week's episode).
