There is a recurring theme in the Old Testament: "don't punish the guilty but the victim/innocent". We've seen this with Noah and we'll see it again with Moses if not before that.
Abram lied to Pharaoh. He used Sarai to "save" his own pathetic life. And he gives her away to be raped in exchange for livestock. After that, God punishes Pharaoh and his household (what did the household have to do with it?) and Abram gets a country given to him (Gen 13:14).
Amnesty international would have a field day with this one.
